Welcome to my website!

Feel free to check out my written and video work at premiere universities on the East and West Coast, as well as a sampling of articles that I wrote during my years as a newspaper reporter in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I currently write stories and participate in other communications efforts at the Stanford Technology Ventures Program, the entrepreneurship center for students in the university's engineering school. I previously worked as a web-content manager at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratoryand before that, served as a science writer and communications specialist at Johns Hopkins University  where I promoted the faculty and research at the Baltimore university's bioethics institute via press releases and news features on bioethical issues in mainstream media.

(Examples include these blog posts on physician-assisted suicide, end-of-life care and even getting tested for STDs by smartphone.)

From 2004 to 2009, I served as a writer and editor in Stanford's university-wide communications division. And during the year and a half I lived on the East Coast, I kept a personal blog to keep friends posted. That experience, along with video-production skills and a sense for how to share information via social media, were vital in my evolution from old-school journalist to web-savvy communicator.

Thanks for visiting!
